Totally Focused
Training members in the use of SLR cameras Carly O'Neil from Photo Biz instructed members in all things photography.
Members were introduced to camera basics and over a six week period learned the more technical side of photography shutter speed, light, balance etc. Each members was assigned an SLR camera and given the opportunity to take photos in various locations.
In conjunction with in class training the photographers were taken on field trips and excursions including a over night weekend trip to the Katherine region.
The best photos from each members port folio were chosen by a panel and then exhibited in the Hub (a public exhibition space) in the Darwin city mall. Selected photos were also collated and used to produce a Totally Focused calendar, these were then sold to the public and given to Total Recreation sponsors and supporters.
The success of the photography program saw two members secure photography contracts to take photos at festivals and events around Darwin.
