Adult and Youth Socials

 

On Friday evenings Total Recreation provides support to its members for social outings which include activities such as movies & dinner, karaoke, tenpin bowling and attending live music events. We also provide support to our member to attend special events such as AFL & NRL matches, V8’s, Bass in the Grass, Mud Racing and theatre productions. 

We are currently searching for volunteers to support Total Recreation staff during these social events. 

 

 

 

The Patch

 

The Patch is an enterprise gardening scheme situated in Leanyer. The Patch provides opportunities for alternate education for local high school and primary school students and community organisations such at Total Recreation to provide engaging activities for its members. Currently we are searching for a volunteer to provide support for one of our members who attends the patch on a Wednesday morning.

 

 

 

Sailability

 

 The Sailability program is run on a Tuesday morning during the dry season from the Darwin Sailing Club. The sailing boats specially designed to cater for people whom have limited mobility are used to provide accessibility for local primary and high schools students. We are currently searching for volunteers to be involved in the program on permanent or casual bases. 

 

 

Sport Support

 

One of the major programs run by Total recreation is our School Sports. We work alongside local sporting bodies, preschools, primary and high schools to facilitate a variety of sporting programs. The programs are run during school hours and include activities such as soccer, gymnastics, baseball, cricket, swimming and BMX. We are currently searching for volunteers to become involved in these programs roles include; referee, sports admin and support staff.
